annual cancer patient navigation conference

In 2008, 'Imi Hale initiated the first annual Cancer Patient Navigation Conference to provide a venue for trained cancer patient navigators and other interested stakeholders to keep current with a new and developing discipline. The conference also supports trained navigators in the community and clinics with continued education and opportunities to network with peers and cancer care providers.

This one and a half-day conference aims to:

• Expand knowledge, capacity and resource networks to better support cancer patients;
• Foster relationships between navigators and care providers; and
• increase awareness of the role navigators can play in enhancing cancer care.
